Sonneteer

Sonneteer was first conceived by photographer Doug Fogelson in 2003. The idea was simple: create a book of nine chapters, each one a visual meditation on an element of the built environment – infrastructure, apertures, construction, roads, pathways, sprawl, fences, electricity, and restitution. I was one of nine designers invited to participate.

After completing the chapter on sprawl, I began work on the cover and overall book design. Sonneteer was published in a perfect-bound softcover edition by Front Forty Press. It was a 2007 USA Book News and London Book Festival finalist.
