Olivia’s Market is an established specialty grocer in Bucktown. When I first approached the owners about their digital experience, the store’s branding, interior design and in-store experience were well-developed. My goal design goal was to bring that in-store experience to life for desktop and mobile users.

My experience as a customer informed a key choice to base the design in immersive photography. Before starting the design process, I captured a series of architectural interiors unique vignettes. These images capture rough-hewn wood beams, warm lighting and carefully curated merchandise. Layouts were develpoed with the prelimnary series of images as placeholders, allowing the owners to truly see how their store came to life in each phase of the process. Capturing content early on also allowed us to identify where we could go deeper in the two additonal shooting days.
