Portraits at Havas

I love to uplift people through art. I also enjoy using a camera. A few years, ago I had started supporting our new business and awards teams through photography, and soon bacame the unofficial staff photographer at Havas Chicago. Eventually, the opportunity I’d been waiting for presented itself. I was given the approval to capture a series of portraits of my colleagues for new buisness. The required result was a series of corporate headshots for a team of over 90 individuals. The desired one was a series of images in which each subject saw the best version of themself – one they were actually proud of, not just willing to put up with.

I wanted every person feel at ease – like the star of their own movie, written by them. After pre-lighting and some tests, music was cued and the studio doors were opened to all. To my delight, most people really got into the process. Some brought their professional selves and took things up a notch. It was great to see how much pride we all had in our work and our workplace. When the required headshots had been taken, a surprising number were eager to open up in front of the camera and get a little weird. The photographs on this page represent the best of both kinds/ They’re also just my favorites.
