Olivia’s Market is an established specialty grocer in Bucktown. When I first approached the owners about their digital experience, the store’s branding, interior design and in-store experience were already well-developed. The primary design goal was to bring that in-store experience to life for desktop and mobile users.
My experience as a customer informed a key decision to base the design around photography. Prior to designing the site, I captured a series of architectural interiors unique vignettes. These images capture rough-hewn wood beams, warm lighting and carefully curated merchandise. They allowed the design to remain clean, modern, and light.
